Home to the world-famous sweet potato brownie, some of their popular offerings include the NataBelle, a Portuguese egg tart, and the Churro Crunch, a combination of churros and chocolate. This NC baker’s treats remind you of grandma’s house, with many faithful fans driving as much as one hour just to have one of NataBelles’ melt-in-your-mouth desserts.

Winkler Bakery

521 S Main St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

This 200-year-old Moravian bakery, which is the oldest continually operating bakery in America, is still serving its gingerbread recipe from 1807 and using its original wood-burning oven from 1799 for sugar cakes, cookies and buns.

They serve traditional Moravian cookies and pastries, as well as Kolaczki, Springerle, and Pfeffernusse, which are timeless European confections.

Located in historic West End, this mother-daughter bakery is best known for their heritage Amish cinnamon roll recipe, made with a surprise ingredient- mashed potatoes.
