An organization working to eliminate hunger in Northwest North Carolina. They not only seek to provide food for the hungry, but they also aim to get to the root of the issue and educate and engage the community in the causes of hunger and how to end it.

Why We Love It
We love that the Second Harvest Food Bank uses food that might otherwise go to waste. Each day, 50+ tons of food are moved through their warehouses and given to their network of 430+ partner programs. Additionally, they have a number of programs including a culinary training program and nutrition education.
