Tanglewood Festival of Lights

Why We Love It

We love the interactive musical displays; there are even original pieces by UNC School of the Arts students. There are over 80 displays to be enjoyed. Special events are hosted beneath the Festival of Lights throughout the season, like “Running of the Lights” and “Paws in the Park.” Every local should see this attraction at least once, although most have a tradition of going every holiday season.

About

A must-see attraction- the brightest light show in the southeast, opens at the beginning of the holiday season in November and lasts until New Years Day. Tanglewood Park is transformed into a beautiful, magical world of over a million lights. You can enjoy the lights in your own car, in a horse-drawn carriage, or on a hayride. Thursdays-Sundays are the most popular nights, so prepare for long lines.
